The perfect town or country dress pattern, Simplicity 1791 in junior/miss sizing. This darling bow dress is made in two versions. Both dresses have straight skirt with walking pleats at lower edges of side seams. Bloused bodice has front and back yoke that’s cut in one with the sleeves. Features are a front neck opening and a pointed convertible collar. V. 1 dress has long sleeves gathered to buttoned wristbands and upper front pockets. V. 2 has short sleeves, contrast bow at center front. Belt may match bow.

DETAILS
This pattern is in used condition. It has 14 printed tissue paper pieces (some pieces very worn), 1 instruction sheet on unbleached paper with discoloring/repairs & the 4-colour printed envelope is starting to split; has a big tear at front repaired; piece missing at left front; discoloring & stamp at back. This pattern will be shipped in a protective archival sleeve or bag & a pattern folder with tips. Please see photos for quality.

This is a fitted style with blousing at the bodice waist.

USE
This is a tissue paper pattern for recreating the styles shown on the pattern cover. The original pieces are printed tissue paper and should be handled with care. The envelope back has a text description of the styles, back view sketches of the styles, sketch of pattern pieces, material useage charts, the measurement chart of the company, notions needed and material suggestions. The information sheet shows a general process of construction with some tips.
In order to recreate a style you will need to purchase your material, notions and anything you might need for embellishing. To test the fit, before using expensive fabric, purchase muslin & recreate the style in a basic version. It is advisable to make a paper copy when resizing or altering the design.
CARE
- For small tears, use archival tape or a glue stick & tissue paper.
- Store the pattern in its protective sleeve or bag to reduce breakage and further discoloring.
