This is a great vintage simplicity pattern for a “JIFFY” zipper front beach or pool dress, sleeveless and collarless with patch pockets, a square neckline and side slits. it can be made mini or maxi (short or ankle length). a great design for applique and patchwork.
i have seen beach or pool dresses in california made of lace or crochet but also hawaiian prints. i also think this maxi dress in 100% cotton nicki could look great. if french terry can’t be found, maybe a bio jersey for sweats.

This unused pattern has 7 printed tissue paper pieces in a factory fold , 1 unused instruction sheet on unbleached paper with discoloration & the original damaged 4-colour printed envelope with ink on front, discoloring, torn bottom open & v1 cut-out. This includes a complete cover printout, a protective archival sleeve or bag & a pattern folder with tips. Please see photos for quality.

FIT
This is a miss size pattern for women. The dress or coverup is semi-fit with a ease at the waist.
· Measurements: Bust 38″or 96.5cm, Waist 29″ or 73.5cm, Hip 40″or 101.5cm
USE
This is a tissue paper pattern for recreating the styles shown on the pattern cover. The original pieces are printed tissue paper and should be handled with care. The envelope back has a text description of the styles, guide to pieces, material useage chart, notions needed and material suggestions. The information sheets show the process of construction with some tips.
In order to recreate a style you will need to purchase your material, notions and anything you might need for embellishing. To test the fit before using expensive fabric, purchase muslin & recreate the style in a basic version. It is advisable to make a paper copy when resizing or altering the design.
CARE
- For small tears, use archival tape or a glue stick & tissue paper.
- Store the pattern in its protective sleeve or bag to reduce breakage and further discoloring.
