Wrap all views high around the neck, off the shoulders, or over the head. This versatile design allows for multiple styling options. Use self-facing unless you use double face fabric, the additional thickness adds comfort and weight to the piece. Finish with bound edges to ensure a polished look, adding a touch of sophistication that elevates the entire piece.

Cape A is cosily trimmed in wool fringe. Directions for making fringe are included.
Cape B is cleanly bound with optional fold over braid, while ruffle trimmed Cape C is elegantly self-faced.

FIT
This is an unfitted cape made in one size. I would always check the width to your measurements and add any fullness you prefer.

USE
This is a tissue paper pattern for recreating the styles shown on the pattern cover. The original pieces are printed tissue paper and should be handled with care. The envelope back has a text description of the styles, back view sketches of the styles, material useage charts, the measurement chart of the company, notions needed and material suggestions. The information sheet shows a general process of construction with some tips.

In order to recreate a style you will need to purchase your material, notions and anything you might need for embellishing. To test the fit, before using expensive fabric, purchase muslin & recreate the style in a basic version. It is advisable to make a paper copy when resizing or altering the design.

CARE

  • For small tears, use archival tape or a glue stick & tissue paper.
  • Store the pattern in its protective sleeve or bag to reduce breakage and further discoloring.
