This vintage mail-order pattern helps you create a pretty, tailored shirtdress with petal trim design. The petal dress comes in a larger size, the novelty petal shaping is used on the button front, collar and pocket openings. This is a very nice style for solid fabrics like chambray but also lyocell & linen.

DETAILS
This used pattern has 9 perforated tissue paper pieces with the bodice peace having a paperr extension pinned to it. It also includes 1 instruction sheet on unbleached paper with some discoloring & a postage envleope. This includes a protective archival sleeve or bag & a pattern folder with tips. · Material: gingham, chambray, broadcloth, piqué or tie silk.
· Yardage(3/4 sleeve): 39″x4-7/8yds or 130cmx3.6m
· Notions: thread, interfacing, 7-8″ side zipper or snaps, 3 Buttons, belt buckle.

USE
This is a tissue paper pattern for recreating the styles shown on the instruction sheet. The original pieces are perforated tissue paper and should be handled with care. The instruction has a drawing of the style, text description, cutting guide, piece diagram, material useage chart & includes the process of construction with some tips.
In order to recreate a style you will need to purchase your material, notions and anything you might need for embellishing. To test the fit before using expensive fabric, purchase muslin & recreate the style in a basic version. It is advisable to make a paper copy when resizing or altering the design.
CARE
For small tears, use archival tape or a glue stick & tissue paper.
Store the pattern in its protective sleeve or bag to reduce breakage and further discoloring.
