The keyhole cut-out dress has an angular hourglass silhouette, a symbol of 1940s style. This one is similar to claire mccardell styles, which makes it perfect for cottons. The keyhole dress is optimal for embellishing and altering, appliqué, french knot embroidery or graphic piecing could all look stunning.

USE
This is a tissue paper pattern for recreating the styles shown on the pattern cover. The original pieces are unprinted, perforated tissue paper and should be handled with care. The envelope back has a text description of the styles, back view sketches of the styles, material useage charts, the measurement chart of the company, notions needed and material suggestions. The information sheet shows a general process of construction with some tips. In order to recreate a style you will need to purchase your material, notions and anything you might need for embellishing. To test the fit before using expensive fabric, purchase muslin & recreate the style in a basic version. It is advisable to make a paper copy when resizing or altering the design.
CARE
- For small tears, use archival tape or a glue stick & tissue paper.
- Store the pattern in its protective sleeve or bag to reduce breakage and further discoloring.
