This vintage newspaper pattern helps you create a diaper swimsuit or sun suit. This is an iconic style of the mid 1940s. Consisting of a halter top with bare back and wrap shorts. A diaper bathing suit for young miss. Two piece suit is made of fully lined woven cotton, the pants & halter top wrap with button closing. The top ties at the neck with a cord. Pants are uniquely trimmed with moss fringe.

This is a diagram pattern on old newspaper from 1945 with a chart of the pieces and instructions to create this style. This diagram pattern has 3 pieces which need to be drawn out. The sheet has discoloring, stains and minimal tears at the edge. This includes a protective archival sleeve or bag & a pattern folder with tips. Please see photos for quality.

USE
This is a diagram pattern on old newspaper for recreating the styles shown. The original pieces need to be drawn out with pencil onto sheets of paper large enough to acccomadate the size of the pieces.
In order to recreate a style you will need to purchase your material, notions and anything you might need for embellishing. To test the fit before using expensive fabric, purchase muslin & recreate the style in a basic version. It is advisable to make a paper copy when resizing or altering the design.
CARE
For small tears, use archival tape or a glue stick & tissue paper.
Store the pattern in its protective sleeve or bag to reduce breakage and further discoloring.
