classic 1940s back-buttoning blouses with long billowed sleeve, short or cap sleeve. the three sleeve options all with built-up shoulders. 4 styles in 1 pattern from simplicity a 1946 secretary style.
the blouse with back-buttoning features tucks and dart tucks at the front and back lower edges. the blouse front has soft fullness released by a forward shoulder seam. styles I and IV include a peter-pan collar and the option of short or capped sleeves. lace edging is available as an option. styles II and III have bishop sleeves that gather at the upper edge. in style II, there is a high round neckline. style III features rows of lace trimming the front and lace ruffling edging the neck and sleeve bands.
