This McCall’s #2184 mod evening & party glam ensemble pattern from the late 60s is fashionably diverse. The mini version of this mod evening dress in gold & turquoise brocade is super doll-like. While the mod maxi coat would look very cool in a dark vampire fashion. The “flat-front” dresses are the best for embellishing, lots of room to play around with appliques and objects, the deep round neck is also perfect for a dicky.

This is a cut & verified complete pattern which has 12 printed tissue paper pieces -the dress has been cut, 1 instruction sheet on unbleached paper & the original 4-colour printed envelope with back ink writing + shop stamp at front. This includes a protective archival sleeve or bag & a pattern folder with tips. Please see photos for quality.

- Notions: 3 Frogs (coat), 55cm neck zipper or 60cm invisible zipper, hook & eye, 6mm elastic, bias seam tape, ribbon, lace trim, thread.
- Material: linen, satin, brocade, velveteen, moire. dress only: bonded Lace, printed silks or cotton.
FIT
This mod evening set fits at the bust wit A-line hem. This is equivalent to a modern size S, but always check your measurements before buying.

USE
This is a tissue paper pattern for recreating the styles shown on the pattern cover. The original pieces are printed tissue paper and should be handled with care. The envelope back has a text description of the styles, back view sketches of the styles, material useage charts, the measurement chart of the company, guide to pieces, notions needed and material suggestions. The information sheet shows a general process of construction with some tips + a material cutting guide.
In order to recreate this mod evening ensemble you will need to purchase your material, notions and anything you might need for embellishing. To test the fit before using expensive fabric, purchase muslin & recreate the style in a basic version. It is advisable to make a paper copy when resizing or altering the design.
CARE
- For small tears, use archival tape or a glue stick & tissue paper.
- Store the pattern in its protective sleeve or bag to reduce breakage and further discoloring.
