this oriental pj design is great for lounging or sleeping. the style is classicaly cool. this butterick pattern #2809 is a restored 1940s vintage pattern for a pajama in chinese style with mandarin coat, slit at the sides:
view A has stand-up collar and frog closing; view B is bound with ribbon or braid, is buttoned down the side, and has one pocket. band trousers. this design uses circular shoulder pads, the instructions for these are included.
QUALITY:
pieces: 8; perforated; 4 damaged pieces redrawn from a second copy; restored*.
instruction sheet: in english; brittle at the folds;
envelope: a bit worn.
archival repairs were made where needed to ensure functionality.

*we have restored, repaired, and pressed all the patterns when needed. restored means we have redrawn any missing pieces where possible. we additionally make repairs to prevent further damage, always using archival tape. finally, we press and fold the patterns and store them in archival sleeves or bags to prevent further deterioration.
