Hollywood #1696; c.1945: b30” or b34”; a great pattern for creating your own peignoir or dressing gown. The highneck can be altered and sleeves lengths easily changed. I have also seen these often with lace yokes. Peignoirs, classically seen in 30s-40s films were almost always sheer and had matching sleeveless nightgowns. The front can also be stitched closed to create a nightgown or nightshirt.
This pattern is for a peignoir or short nightshirt, “Sew-Simple”. Straight front and back yoke. Collarless high round neckline. Self ruffle trimming novelty edging or ribbon run beading. Long sleeves with drawstring gathers at wrists and very short puff sleeves.
